Ambitek Recruitment is seeking an experienced Steel Erector to join our client''s team in Trafford Park, Manchester. This is an excellent long-term opportunity to work with a reputable civils and mechanical engineering company known for delivering high-quality projects across the industry. Key Responsibilities: Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Accurately read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents to ensure correct installation of steel structures. Erecting Steel Structures: Use cranes and other heavy lifting equipment to position, align, and secure steel girders, columns, beams, and other structural components. Bolting: Perform bolting tasks to join steel components securely, following precise specifications and safety guidelines. Ensuring Structural Integrity: Verify the proper alignment and stability of steel structures, making adjustments as necessary to maintain structural integrity. Safety Compliance: Rigorously adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), setting up scaffolding, safety nets, and ensuring a safe working environment at heights. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the steel erection process, such as misaligned parts or unexpected obstacles. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain tools, machinery, and safety equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
