- Communicating with students and families about lateness, absence and detentions
- Monitoring attendance at lunchtime and after-school detentions
- Supporting vulnerable students and contacting parents when identified students are absent
- Supervising students during morning break, lunchtime and detentions
- Assisting with the school''s attendance reward system
- Helping new and supply staff understand registration procedures
- Supporting the Student Services Office and providing administrative cover when required
- Playing an active role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
What you''ll need to succeed
You will be a self-motivated and authoritative professional who combines high expectations with an approachable and respectful manner. You will be able to remain calm, organised and effective while managing competing priorities and responding confidently to challenging situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will regularly engage with students, parents, colleagues and other stakeholders. You will also need to build positive working relationships, foster mutual respect and work collaboratively with colleagues across the school.
