Overview
The post holder will participate in the delivery of high standards of care to patients and their families. In particular, take responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of evidenced-based nursing care to a group of patients. They will participate in the management of the ward when required, ensuring smooth and efficient running in the absence of the Ward Manager or Senior Staff Nurse. They will take responsibility for their own self-development, helping to provide a suitable learning environment and high standards of clinical practice. As a band 5 nurse, you will provide a family-centred approach to care, have good communication skills with a willingness to learn and work as part of a large team. You will be caring for children of all ages 0-18 years, across all medical specialties including CAMHS and eating disorders. The wards include a High Dependency Unit, bespoke oncology service and a Paediatric Assessment Unit.Your personal and professional development of skills and knowledge will be supported by the Practice Development Facilitator, Clinical Educator and our well established and experienced team across the wards\'' specialties. Opportunities are considered for further training within the appropriate specialty areas. Training is provided for those supervising and assessing students on placement.Responsibilities

Band 5 nurse with ability to work with paediatric patients across specialties.Qualification in supervising and assessing students is required.Willingness to learn and work as part of a large team.Location and Organisation
