STA / Quality Engineer

Owen Daniels are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer with strong Supplier Quality / STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) experience to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Willenhall. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with a background in manufacturing environments and supplier development to play a key role in driving quality standards across the supply chain and production operations.Will be a split between on site and supplier visits across the UK. Key Responsibilities:Manage supplier quality performance and support supplier development activitiesConduct supplier audits, investigations, and corrective actions using 8D methodologyLead APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and root cause analysis activitiesWork closely with manufacturing, production, and engineering teams to resolve quality issuesSupport new product introduction and supplier approval processesEnsure compliance with customer and industry quality standardsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across suppliers and internal processesRequirements:Previous experience in a Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, or STA Engineer roleStrong manufacturing backgroundGood understanding of core quality tools: PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, 8DExperience dealing directly with suppliers and customer quality requirementsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsAutomotive or precision engineering experience would be advantageousWhat''s On Offer:Competitive ..... full job details .....
