We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Managed Services and Emerging Technology Group. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in both TypeScript (with experience in Angular and React) and Java (with experience in Gradle and Spring) to enhance and accelerate software development within a high-performing team. This role offers the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues, design and deliver new systems, and contribute to the continued success of our platforms.What You Will Do
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable software solutions using TypeScript and Java.Apply in-depth knowledge of Spring and Gradle to maintain backend systems.Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape architecture and technical direction.Mentor and support junior developers, fostering growth and best practices across the team.Accelerate delivery by leveraging modern development tools and practices, including AI-assisted coding technologies.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes, code quality, and delivery speed.What You Will Bring
Proven commercial experience with TypeScript and Java – ideally 5-8 years.Strong technical expertise with Spring, Gradle to deliver and maintain backend systems.Demonstrated ability to design and implement robust, scalable software systems.Experience mentoring and guiding less experienced developers.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative and influence outcomes.Experience with tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor would be advantageous.Experience with UI development utilizing preferably Angular and React.Ready to Join Us?
