We serve as a dedicated manufacturing platform, driving for advanced manufacturing technologies and capabilities, highest operational efficiency, flexible supply chain and cost-effectiveness while maintaining the best quality standards, supporting our business needs and delivering best value to customers.As a Manufacturing Technical Manager, you will be responsible for bringing new products from engineering to manufacturing. You will be managing high complexity programs of large scale, from prototype to mass production. MTM is the key member of the development team and will be the main interface for worldwide hardware and software engineering teams, and operations team and also our each Contract Manufactures. Drive for end-to-end manufacturing processes ensuring consistency on development and deployment across from SMT, FATP assembly, testing and packing throughout the PDP lifecycle.Responsibilities

Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Process OptimizationEngage in DFx from concept to Production Validation Testing (PVT)Enforce DFM, DFA (Assembly), and DFS (Service) principles to product designAddress manufacturing challenges and propose design improvements with MDE and MTE teamsDevelop cost-effective and workable production solutions to accelerate product maturity and improve maneuverabilityNew Product Introduction (NPI) and Manufacturing ReadinessDevelop end-to-end manufacturing processes from prototype to mass production, identify and resolve manufacturing bottlenecksExecuting xVT builds according to program schedules, ensure technical readiness, monitor major issue closure driving mitigation solutions of factory-related technical challenges during NPI phaseManage engineering changes during NPI builds, define manufacturing process validation requirements to ensure process reliability and consistencyOptimize manufacturing yields and efficiency (FPY, Cycle time, UPH) to meet target throughout the product development lifecycleStrategic Influence and Cross-functional CollaborationServe as the main interface between manufacturing partners, hardware and software engineering teams, and operations and supply chain cross-functional teams, collaborate with teams to implement and optimize manufacturing processesDevelop strategic plan for MTM team, expand visibility, credibility and influence to cross-functional teams; present and engage with leadershipTechnology Innovation and DevelopmentInvestigate and introduce new manufacturing technologies and methodologies on line solution, equipment requirement plans for new product manufacturing and testing to enhance product quality and efficiencyWork strategically to improve SMT/FATP/Packing processes across product categoriesIdentify, design and standardize production line solution strategies and production procedures to improve efficiency among contractors/suppliersBASIC QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience (hardware, software, package)10+ years of technical product or program management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experienceGood written and oral communication skills, fluent EnglishBachelor degree or above in engineeringPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

10+ manufacturing process design and production process development experience, knowledge on lean manufacturing, six sigma etc.Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedulesExperience defining KPI''s/SLA''s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadershipExceptional strategic vision, business acumen, stakeholder management skills and cross-functional leadership experience in managing global operations for technology/consumer product companiesFamiliarity with smart home and IoT technologies and marketsAbility and willingness to work independently and travel frequentlyOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
