Senior Linux Automation and Platform Engineer (Perl/Python) Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite in Canary Wharf) Contract Duration: 12 Months (49 weeks) Benefits: 33 days holiday allowance Are you a hands-on Linux Automation Engineer with a strong background in Perl and Python? We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to support, maintain, and evolve a critical enterprise platform for a large-scale global client. In this role, you will champion operational excellence by optimizing automation workflows, troubleshooting complex infrastructure, and driving platform modernization initiatives. What You''ll Do: Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing automation solutions using Perl, Python, and Shell scripting. Support and optimize Linux-based production environments (RHEL), ensuring high reliability and stability. Manage CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Jenkins) for seamless build and deployment processes. Diagnose and resolve cross-platform infrastructure, application, and network issues. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to investigate incidents and implement continuous improvements. What We''re Looking For: Strong enterprise Linux administration and troubleshooting experience (RHEL or similar). Heavy-hitting scripting and automation skills (Perl, Python, Bash, or Korn Shell).
