SQL DBA Lead

SQL Database Administrator to join a high-performing infrastructure and database team supporting critical enterprise systems across Azure and on-premise environments. Long-term opportunity based Full time in Manchester within a secure operational environment. You will act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL platforms, ensuring the performance, availability, security, and ongoing support of business-critical database services across production, UAT, and development environments. Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases across multiple environments Manage database clustering, replication, backups, restores, and performance optimisation activities Provide third-line support, troubleshooting complex database incidents and service requests Perform database releases, patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities Monitor database health, capacity, and performance, implementing improvements where required Support and maintain SSIS packages and data integration processes Assist with Power BI Report Server administration, upgrades, performance tuning, and SSL certificate management Work closely with infrastructure and application teams to ensure reliable database services Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practice initiatives Key Skills andamp; Experience Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (2016 onwards) Significant expertise in T-SQL, stored procedures, ..... full job details .....
