Job Overview

Nelson Recruitment Services are urgently seeking skilled Spot Welders to join our client in the West Bromwich area.

SPOT WELDING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precise welding operations to assemble and fabricate metal components.

Location:-B70 9PL

Hours:-Monday - Friday

Rotating Shifts 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm

Pay:12.71 + 22% shift allowance / weekly pay

Start Date:-Interviewing ASAP

Duties

• Operate spot welding equipment with accuracy to join sheet metal components as per technical specifications
• Use hand tools and power tools for assembly, fitting, and finishing of fabricated parts
• Assist in the fabrication process by cutting, shaping, and preparing sheet metal for welding tasks
• Perform routine inspections of welds and completed assemblies to ensure structural integrity
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality benchmarks

Requirements

• Proven experience in SPOT welding and sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic assembly techniques
• Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and equipment operation
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and diagrams accurately
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
• Familiarity with welding safety procedures and standards
• Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Previous experience with mechanical assembly or related roles is advantageous
