Job Title: Sports Coach / Cover Supervisor

Location: Sheffield and Surrounding Areas

Start Date: September 2025

Salary: £100 - £120 per day (depending on experience and assignment)

Contract Type: Day-to-Day, Short-Term, and Long-Term Assignments

We want to hear from you!

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Sports Coaches and Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across Sheffield and nearby areas starting in September.

The Role:

• Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher across various subjects (not just PE)
• Supervise and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support students in completing learning activities
• Provide a positive and engaging learning environment
• Opportunities to deliver sports sessions or assist with PE lessons depending on your skills and experience

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Experience working with young people (e.g., sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, teaching assistant)
• A strong presence in the classroom and confidence managing behaviour
• A flexible and proactive approach to different school environments
• A passion for education and inspiring young minds
• Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential – full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

Right to work in the UK

Availability for work from September 2025
