Sports-Based Teaching Assistant (SEN) Hackney / Islington £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience) Full-time Immediate startAre you from a sports, coaching, or fitness background and looking to make a real impact in a school setting?We are currently recruiting for a Sports-Based Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive and inclusive primary/secondary school in Hackney / Islington. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for working with young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role:Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groupsWorking with children with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needsUsing sport and physical activity as a tool to engage and motivate studentsAssisting the class teacher with behaviour management and lesson supportPromoting positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional regulationSupporting both inside the classroom and during outdoor/PE sessions The Ideal Candidate:Background in sports, coaching, personal training, or fitnessExperience working with children or young people (school, coaching, mentoring, etc.)Strong behaviour management and ability to build rapportEnergetic, resilient, and confident in managing challenging behaviourPassionate about supporting students with SEN and SEMH needsA team player with a proactive attitude Requirements:Minimum 6 months experience working with children or young peopleEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or ..... full job details .....
