Splunk EngineerLocation: Chester - 3 days onsite per week Contract Day Rate: Up to 550 per day (inside IR35 via umbrella)12 month contractAbout the RoleWe''re seeking an experienced Splunk Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise technology environment, helping to drive the next generation of network monitoring, observability, and operational analytics.In this role, you''ll be responsible for transforming network telemetry into actionable insight, enabling Operations and Engineering teams to proactively identify issues, improve service performance, and enhance operational resilience. You''ll work closely with Network Engineering, Operations, and Observability teams to design and deliver monitoring solutions that provide visibility across a complex estate spanning routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN technologies.This is an excellent opportunity for a Splunk professional with strong networking knowledge who enjoys solving complex operational challenges and working with large volumes of telemetry data.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain Splunk dashboards, searches, reports, and visualisations that support operational monitoring and troubleshooting.Collect, ingest, normalise, and manage network telemetry data, including logs, metrics, events, and streaming data.Develop and optimise alerting capabilities to proactively identify performance degradation, service disruption, and availability risks.Partner with Network Engineering teams to understand device ..... full job details .....
