OverviewAn exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic SLT to lead the South-West Division SLT Team, covering the two boroughs of Wandsworth and Merton on a 6-month secondment. We are looking for an experienced SLT with well-established clinical supervisory and line management skills, and clinical experience in the community in care of the elderly, neurology, palliative care and rehabilitation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

You will be part of the wider SLT Leadership Team within CLCH, supporting wider service initiatives and developments.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for provision of a high-quality Speech and Language Therapy service for patients and provide strategic oversight and development of adult SLT services across Wandsworth and Merton.

Provide, maintain and review a comprehensive patient-focused, highly specialist SLT service involving patients, carers, families and service providers.

Provide clinical leadership in neurology, care of the elderly, palliative care and rehabilitation, covering a range of conditions. Act in a consultancy role for clinical staff addressing complex service user issues.

Ensure evidence-based practice through adherence to current clinical guidelines to deliver the most appropriate and cost-effective clinical pathway for individual patients.
