Academics are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist school in Aylesbury for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join their experienced multidisciplinary team from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to work within a supportive educational environment, helping pupils with Autism, speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), and a range of complex learning difficulties develop the communication skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond.
Location: Aylesbury
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full Time (Part Time Considered)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2026
The Role
As a Speech and Language Therapist in Aylesbury, you will work closely with teachers, families and other professionals to deliver high-quality therapy and communication support across the school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individual and small group Speech and Language Therapy sessions
- Assessing pupils'' communication needs and contributing to EHCP reviews
- Developing and implementing personalised therapy programmes
- Supporting whole-school communication strategies
- Providing guidance and training to teaching staff
- Working collaboratively with parents, carers and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils

About You
Applications are welcomed from both newly qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapists.
To be considered, you will:
- Hold a recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification
- Be HCPC registered (or eligible for registration)
- Have a passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Enjoy working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
Previous experience within SEND, Autism or specialist education would be advantageous but is not essential.
