Position - Speech and Language Graduate

Location - Stockport

Pay - -485 - -600 per week, depending on experience

Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Start Date - 07/09/2026

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking kind and compassionate Speech and Language graduates to join our SEN schools in Stockport from September. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain experience within a school setting.

The school supports pupils aged between 4-19, with complex learning needs, providing specialist 1:1 support.

As a Speech and Language Graduate, you will...

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, providing both academic and emotional support
  • Assist in creating and implementing Individualised Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Assist in creating engaging and person-centred learning activities
  • Maintain regular communication with other staff members and SLT to monitor progress

What we are looking for:

  • A recent Speech and Language degree (please note 2026 graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Previous personal or professional experience supporting complex needs within a care or education setting
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • A calm, nurturing nature, with a willingness to learn and show innitiative

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
