Specifications Technologist – Food Manufacturing

I’m currently recruiting for a Specifications Technologist to join a leading blue-chip food manufacturing business supplying customers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, review, and maintain product specifications in line with customer and legal requirements
• Ensure all specifications are accurate, compliant, and completed within agreed timelines
• Work closely with internal teams including Technical, NPD, and Production
• Support audits and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
• Liaise with customers to manage specification queries and updates

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Specifications Technologist or similar technical role within food manufacturing
• Good understanding of food safety, labelling, and compliance standards
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
