Specifications technologist- 12month FTC

We’re working with a well-established bakery business known for its quality, innovation, and delicious products—and they’re looking for a talented Specifications Technologist to join their technical team on a 12-month contract.

If you’re meticulous with detail, confident navigating retailer portals, and passionate about getting specs right the first time, this could be the perfect fit.

 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Creating and maintaining accurate product specifications across multiple platforms

• Liaising with NPD, Technical, and Commercial teams to ensure smooth product launches

• Managing artwork approval and ensuring compliance with retailer and legal standards

• Supporting technical documentation and responding to customer queries

• Playing a key role in audit readiness and continuous improvement

 What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a specifications role within food manufacturing (bakery a bonus!)

• Strong working knowledge of retailer systems (e.g. Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s, etc.)

• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

• Confident communicator across departments and with external stakeholders

• Available to commit to a 12-month contract, with potential for extension
