Specification Technologist

Specifications TechnologistIn this newly created role, we are looking for a key person to join our team to support our growing NPD and Technical teams in managing the product development journey from concept through to creation. The Specifications Technologist will ensure ingredients, packaging and service suppliers are approved for supply to our customer base. You will assist with ensuring the compliance of raw materials, finished product specifications and artwork are in line with our specified standards.What you will be doing:Playing a lead role in ensuring that our internal and customer specifications follow a right first-time approachEnsuring that ingredient, packaging and service supplies are approved, conducting supplier reviews at set intervalsEnsure comprehensive handovers are in place with our NPD team, to ensure data is accurate before adding to customer specificationsWork with our supply chain team and suppliers to ensure data is accurate before adding to specificationsReview raw material specifications from NPD and complete checks at set intervals, ensuring compliance to standard and processing changes in line with our proceduresReview, approve and create artwork files working closely with the Head of TechnicalLead the creation of finished product specification sheets for both internal use and for our customers.Participating in benchmarking reviews and taste panels, feeding back results to respective departments and closing out known issuesInvolvement with ..... full job details .....
