Specification Technologist-12 Month FTC

As a Specification Technologist you will be responsible for managing and maintaining product specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This role within the FMCG sector involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Description

• Writing and updating finished product and packaging specifications in customer and internal systems
• Coordinating artwork reviews and ensuring pack copy compliance with UK food labelling legislation
• Liaising with NPD, Raw Material Technologists, Packaging teams and suppliers to gather accurate product data
• Managing specification trackers and ensuring deadlines for customer submissions are met
• Reviewing ingredient, allergen and nutrition data and assessing the impact of any changes
• Supporting retailer technical requirements and customer queries
• Maintaining strong attention to detail and data accuracy at all times

12 Month FTC- Monday-Friday-8AM-5PM

Profile

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing technical or specification role is essential
• Experience with retailer specification systems and artwork approval processes would be highly advantageous
• Good understanding of food labelling legislation, allergens and nutrition data
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers
• Good IT skills and experience working with specification or data management systems
