Specification and Applications Engineer

Our client is a leading manufacturer of automotive components and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Specification and Application Engineer. Excellent salary 45K - 55K Negotiable + benefitsThe Role:The Specification and Application Engineer will be responsible for support with basic design and technical specification support associated with the development of components for automotive applications. Duties will include but is not limited to the following;Interpret customer specifications and requirements to define design parameters, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.Develop detailed product specifications by analysing functional requirements, materials, performance, cost, and operational efficiency.Basic CAD design work for specification purposes.Candidate:You will have a good understanding of running gear, automotive and / or HGV trailer design or manufacture.Applicants will have previous experience with one or more of the following; axles, suspension, braking systems, telematics.Ideally you will have a mechanical engineering background with recognised mechanical engineering / design qualifications and you will have good AutoCAD design skills. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information and collaborate with cross-functions teams, customers, and suppliers.Hours of Work:Monday to Friday 40 hoursBenefits:Excellent basic salary 45K - 60K Negotiable33 days annual ..... full job details .....
