Salary: £25 - £30 per hour

Do you have experience supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties?

Can you deliver targeted interventions that help students overcome barriers to learning and improve their engagement in education?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a college in Berkshire that is committed to providing inclusive education and ensuring students with additional needs receive the support they need to succeed. The setting aims to help learners overcome barriers to education while developing their confidence, engagement and independence.

The college is looking to take on a Specialist Tutor for Inclusion on a full-time, long-term basis starting ASAP. The successful Specialist Tutor for Inclusion will deliver graduated, targeted interventions to individuals and small groups with SEN and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, while supporting tutors and support staff with appropriate strategies and working closely with Student Services to achieve positive outcomes.

The successful Specialist Tutor for Inclusion will have:

• Relevant qualification or training appropriate to supporting learners with SEN
• Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Experience working with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
• Ability to deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups
• Strong communication and collaborative working skills
• A patient, adaptable and supportive approach to overcoming barriers to learning
