Reporting to: Deputy Head of Facilities Services (Maintenance) Main purpose of the role: To provide expert electrical maintenance, repair and installation services across the estate, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. The post holder will also support general maintenance tasks where appropriate, contributing to the effective upkeep of buildings and systems. Specialist Tradesperson General Duties and Responsibilities: Electrical Duties Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance and minor installation works in accordance with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671). Diagnose and repair electrical faults in systems such as lighting, power, emergency lighting, heating controls and distribution boards. Perform statutory inspections and testing (e.g. emergency lighting, PAT testing). Complete and maintain accurate records, test sheets and certificates to support compliance with legislation and audit requirements.
