Specialist Teacher

SEN Teacher - KS3/KS4A specialist provision in Stoke-On-Trent are seeking a experienced SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role involves teaching pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 who are working at primary curriculum levels, due to a range of learning needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.The Role:- Deliver adapted lessons based on the primary curriculum, tailored to individual EHCPs.- Plan and deliver engaging, accessible sessions across English, maths, and topic work.- Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment that supports academic and emotional development.- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic pupil progress.- Use a range of strategies to support behaviour, communication, and engagement.Requirements:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent).- Experience working with pupils with SEND, particularly those with autism and learning difficulties.- Confident teaching primary content to older pupils with complex needs.- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.- Knowledge of differentiated planning and assessment within a SEN setting.- A valid enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS and reference checks.Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
