Specialist Speech and Language Therapist Band 6

Band 6 - Specialist / Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist Main duties:Assessing children and young people''s communication;Delivering input for phonology, language, alternative and augmentative communication and other speech and language difficulties. (This does not include dysphagia.)Writing termly care plans; contributing to care plans and a Band 7 SLT will contribute to reports within the Tribunal process.Offer clinical support to lower band members of the SLT team as appropriate.Skills requiredAt least 2years experience post qualified (for the B6 post) with experience of working with children and young people with speech and language difficulties; autism and special needs.Working hours:Part-time or full-time9-5 but negotiation around school times would be consideredDurationMinimum of 6 months at this time.LocationChelmsford Essex base but will be traveling across Mid EssexAdditional information:Must be able to drive, have a valid driving licence and have their own car for all visits.Must be happy to carry out lone working as they will be assigned to schools and homes, where other SLTs may not go into.Ideally someone who has used Systm1 previously or at least willing to be trained in this system. ..... full job details .....
