About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Specialist SEND Tutor to provide personalised, one-to-one tuition to learners with special educational needs and disabilities. You will support pupils who may have complex needs, barriers to learning or periods of disengagement from education.

The successful tutor will create a supportive learning environment, adapt lessons to individual abilities and help learners develop confidence, engagement and academic progress.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience working with students with complex needs
Experience supporting pupils with SEND or those who are disengaged from education
UK classroom teaching experience
Creative, patient and willing to think outside the box
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning needs

To be eligible for this role, the Specialist SEND Tutor must:
Hold the right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS including the child barred list, ideally registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain the required clearance
Provide two professional references, including references relating to work with children where applicable
