About the Client/ChildWe are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate SEN Nanny/Governess to join a private, high-profile family in Riyadh. Omar (8) is the youngest of four siblings and is described as an affectionate, emotionally intelligent young boy. He is very technology-focused, but with the right encouragement, he enjoys activities such as Lego, parkour, and swimming. Omar has recently been diagnosed with ADHD, and the family are in the process of exploring any additional neurodivergent needs through ongoing assessments. He has a larger stature for his age, can speak loudly, and sometimes has limited awareness of his own physical presence, which can affect his interactions with siblings and peers and impact his social confidence.

The Role at a Glance This role involves providing structured and engaging daily care and support for Omar (8), ensuring his welfare, safety, and wellbeing at all times. You will assist his teacher during the school day, helping him stay on track, motivating him, and allowing for appropriate breaks, with opportunities for your own breaks during quieter parts of the day. After school, you will assist with refreshments, creative activities, planned hobbies and help Omar develop practical life skills to promote independence and confidence. You will also support therapies, exercises, and any specialist programs, liaising closely with the family and external professionals to ensure a consistent approach to his learning, behaviour, and development. Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve family outings, dinners, and household activities, while weekends are more relaxed with longer days, offering additional opportunities for social, recreational, and life skills development.

This Job Would Suit The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with special educational needs, including ADHD and neurodivergent profiles, and be able to provide attentive, tailored care. They should be patient, adaptable, and proactive, able to motivate and engage the child both academically and socially. Experience in a fully staffed household and working alongside teachers, therapists, and family is highly desirable. Strong communication, discretion, and professionalism are essential for working with a high-profile family.

Why You’ll Love This Role You will have the opportunity to use your SEN expertise to support Omar in reaching his developmental goals. The family offers an attractive package, including self-contained accommodation, all meals prepared by the family chef when on duty, medical insurance, and travel covered. A driver can be made available as required, and you’ll have access to the family swimming pool and gym on your day off.

Recruitment Process Snap Care is managing the full recruitment process, including shortlisting, recruiter interviews, and arranging employer interviews.
