Transport Planner You will play a key part in providing professional guidance and advice on the transport implications and opportunities of development proposals and planning strategies to help the Council make sure these make the maximum contribution to deliver sustainable, healthy and inclusive transport systems in Barnet, helping deliver on the Council s commitment to a net zero borough by 2042 and on the objectives set out in the Barnet Long-Term Transport Strategy. The role will involve working closely with planning and other colleagues across the Council to help shape new developments and provide transport planning advice to those taking planning decisions, reviewing and updating transport-related planning policies for new developments and providing transport input to preparation of masterplans, town centre and other area-based strategies. It will also involve identifying and helping to secure funding for sustainable transport infrastructure and initiatives like promoting active travel through contributions from new developments.
