Specialist Occupational Therapist

It is an exciting time for therapies within Cwm Taf Morgannwg. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our integrated multi-professional, national award winning service. The post holder will need to be a team player who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. Provide a rapid response Occupational Therapy service to people attending the Emergency Care Department, Clinical Decisions Unit, Acute Medical Unit and Wards, in collaboration with Physiotherapists, Social Workers and Support Workers.Work within a discharge to assess model to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions and support timely discharges.Operate as part of a 7 day week service with weekend rotations (3 x 12 hour shifts per week, with an additional 6 hour make-up shift every 4 weeks). Hours of work 07:30 – 20:00.Engage in effective clinical reasoning, time management, observation and communication to achieve wellbeing and positive health outcomes for the population served.Qualifications
Occupational Therapist registered to practice.Welsh skills desirable: Speaking and Listening at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2). Basic conversations with patients about everyday health; fluency not required.Excellent clinical reasoning, time management, observation and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Team player with a genuine interest in achieving wellbeing and positive health outcomes for the population served.Benefits
