Job Description:

The Courtauld, an internationally renowned centre for art history teaching and research, is seeking a

Specialist Academic Skills Tutor

to support students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD). The role involves providing academic and study skills support to help students develop resilience and focus despite their disabilities, working closely with academic colleagues and Student and Academic Services staff.

The tutor will deliver support face-to-face and via real-time remote methods (Teams), and contribute to service development through small group sessions and workshops. The role also includes engaging with students to promote re-engagement after missed sessions and exploring new ways to support students.

Applicants must hold a professionally accredited SpLD teaching qualification and be a member of the relevant professional body, as specified in the DfE mandatory qualification criteria.

The position is based at the Book, Witt and Conway Libraries, and offers a salary of £41,067 per year, pro-rated. The role is open to applicants with an EU work permit.
