SEND Tutor - Liverpool

Location: Liverpool
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced SEND Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 tuition to children and young people across Liverpool.

The successful tutor will be confident adapting their teaching approach to suit individual learning needs and will be able to build positive relationships with learners who may have experienced barriers to education.

The Role
Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions
Plan lessons around the learner''s individual needs and abilities
Support learners to build confidence and make progress
Adapt resources and teaching strategies where required
Maintain positive and professional relationships with pupils, families and relevant professionals
Provide feedback on learner progress

Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people
Experience supporting learners with SEND
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and adapt teaching methods
QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching/tutoring experience is desirable
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one
Right to Work in the UK
Two professional references relating to work with children
