Specialist SEND Tutor - Crosby & Waterloo, Sefton

Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate, patient and adaptable Specialist SEND Tutor to support children and young people across Crosby, Waterloo and the surrounding Sefton areas.

This rewarding opportunity involves providing personalised educational support to learners with additional needs, including those who may struggle to access mainstream education.

Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored tuition based on individual learning needs.
Support learners with complex needs and additional educational requirements.
Develop engaging resources and creative learning activities.
Build positive relationships and encourage confidence and independence.
Adapt teaching strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
Monitor progress and work towards individual educational targets.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with students with complex needs.
Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.
UK classroom teaching experience.
Be creative, patient and willing to think outside the box.

To be eligible for this role, the Specialist SEND Tutor must:
Hold the right to work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional child-related references.
