We are working with a specialist SEMH School based in Sevenoaks who are looking for a Special Needs Tutor to join their team. This position includes providing 1:1 support for a single student with SEMH needs. Your role as a Special Needs Tutor will be outside the classroom within the school 5 days a week on a long-term basis.Key Responsibilities as a Special Needs Tutor:Offer personalised, 1:1 support to a student with SEMH needs.Develop and implement tailored strategies that support the student''s emotional, social, and academic growth.Create a safe, calm environment that helps the student manage challenging behaviours and emotions.Monitor and track progress, documenting the student''s achievements, challenges, and milestones to inform ongoing supportRequirements as a Special Needs Tutor:Strong Maths and English skills.Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs (SEN).Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Patience, empathy and an adaptable approach to support the student''s needs.A teaching qualification or relevant SEN training is desirable, but not essential.Benefits: 75 for each TA referral and 125 for Qualified Teacher referralsPension optionsHoliday payFree online CPD training with access to over 150 coursesDedicated support from your Special Needs Consultant at Term Time Teachers, who will be your liaison with the school Alternatively, if this job is not for you then please still get in touch with us for other ..... full job details .....
