Special Needs Tutor - 1:1 Intervention

Special Needs Tutor: 1:1 Intervention Pay: 30 per hour Are you a creative, patient and passionate tutor who can build meaningful relationships with young people who have disengaged from education? We are looking for a dedicated Special Needs Tutor to deliver personalised, 1:1 intervention sessions in Gateshead, supporting learners who need a different approach to re-engage with learning and rebuild their confidence. This role is ideal for someone who understands that learning starts with relationships, trust and a genuine understanding of the individual. The Role You will deliver tailored, one-to-one intervention sessions, creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where young people feel understood, valued and motivated to succeed. You will need to think outside the box, adapt your approach and develop creative lesson plans that capture the interests of learners who may have struggled to engage with traditional education. Key Responsibilities Deliver personalised 1:1 intervention session for learners with special educational needs and additional learning needs. Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement, confidence and participation. Create imaginative, flexible and interest-led lesson plans that make learning accessible and enjoyable. Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual needs, abilities, interests and learning styles.
