Special Needs Teaching Assistant - URGENT

Job Opportunity: Temporary Teaching Assistants - Immediate Start (with Potential for Permanent Role)

We are currently recruiting two experienced Teaching Assistants to join the team at, a school supporting children aged 5-19 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled and resilient professionals who are passionate about making a real difference in young people''s lives. Successful candidates who integrate well into the team may be considered for a permanent position.

About the Role:

• Support students with SEMH needs in both group and 1:1 settings
• Implement personalised behaviour strategies
• Foster positive relationships with students and staff
• Maintain a calm, consistent, and proactive approach
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the wider team

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience working with children or young people - ideally in SEMH or similar settings
• Confident, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running
• Strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
• Ability to build trust quickly with students and staff
• Resilience in challenging environments; calm under pressure
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Reliable, proactive, and a team player
