Special Needs teaching Assistant

We are working with a Special Needs School in Southwark who are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant. the school is located in Peckham and has great public transport links as well as a large school car park. The school is extremely supportive and will offer candidates a contract after working in the school for a period of time. Students who attend this school are secondary age and also have a sixth form cohort- as a result anyone interested in working in the school will require a child and adult DBS. If you do not have one we can help support this. What does a working day and requirements look like?- 09:00-16:00 daily - Supporting students within the classroom setting either as a 1:1 or general classroom assistant - Be able to work 5 days per week- Must have a Child and Adult DBS - Previous Care or support work experience would be ideal - Previous SEND experience - Positive mindset- Open to supporting some personal care aspects- as students have PMLD If you are seeking a new role and change, then please do apply below. ..... full job details .....
