Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs in a mainstream primary setting

• Assist with personal care as part of the child''s daily routine

• Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs

• Promote independence, confidence and social skills

• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO

• Maintain a patient, empathetic and resilient approach at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

• Experience providing personal care in a school or similar setting

• Confidence working 1:1 in a classroom environment

• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude

• A patient, caring and proactive mindset

• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
