Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Apex Education Recruitment are seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join the Additional Resource Provision (ARP) of a welcoming Primary School in Romford. The ARP supports children with ASD and we are looking for someone who brings patience, creativity and genuine enthusiasm to the role.Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm (Term time only)Special Need Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:Supporting children with ASD within the ARPUsing aproactive, fun and engaging approach to learningBeing firm but fair, helping children understand routines and expectations.Assisting with sensory activities, regulation strategies and learning tasksDelivering structured interventions such asLego TherapyWorking closely with teachers and SENCOHelping children build confidence, independence and communication skills.We would love to hear from you if you are:Caring, calm and patient, with a positive attitudeA great team player who communicates well with staff and childrenAble to build trust and encourage progressExperienced in working with children with ASD or other SEN needsFamiliar with Lego Therapy and sensory-based support (desirable)Comfortable supporting behaviour in a nurturing but structured wayApex Education Recruitment offer:A full face-to-face interview to ascertain your skills, experience and understand the right role for you.Over 300 training courses for all workersCompetitive Monthly pay with additional Holiday payOn going support from the schools and Apex team who are teachers ..... full job details .....
