OverviewWe are seeking caring and dedicated Special Educational Needs Support Workers to join primary schools across Liverpool, providing vital support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges

Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies

Support pupils engagement in classroom activities and promote positive behaviour

Help build pupils confidence, independence, and social skills

Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and families to monitor progress and adjust support as needed

Requirements

Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a primary school setting

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Two recent professional references

Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude

Good communication and teamwork skills
