Special Educational Needs Practitioner
Academics are currently looking for experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Practitioners for short and long term supporting roles within our partnership primary schools and SEN provisions. Working across Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and the surrounding areas can be diversified, meaning that we do have different requirements to suit.We are proud to say that here at Academics we have had a strong record of placing many of our SEN Practitioners into permanent work following a successful period of long term supply within our schools and provisions.Responsibilities of a Special Education Needs (SEN) PractitionerProviding high quality 1:1 and/or small group support/interventions for learners who have SEN/SEMH needs.Support learners to develop essential skills, build social connections, and engage actively in learning.Implement tailored strategies to promote emotional regulation, resilience, and independence.Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and external agencies when needed.Assisting the class teacher in adapting classroom activities and resources.Managing behaviour and engaging learners with their own learning.The ability to create and foster an inclusive and safe learning environment for all of the learners within your class and the wider school community.For this role, applicants who apply must have:Previous experience working with primary aged learners with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs.Calm, resilient, and to be able to remain consistent under pressure ..... full job details .....
