Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH)

• Support pupils'' emotional well-being and promote positive behaviour

• Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities

• Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to teachers and SENCo

• Help create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment

• Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals when appropriate

• Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Understanding of strategies to support learning and behaviour

• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or SEND qualification) are desirable but not essential
