Respond to 999 emergency callsPatrol local neighbourhoodsConduct house-to-house enquiriesPreserve crime scenesPresent evidence in courtHours and duties can be varied; you will be based across Surrey and within specialist teams, wearing the same uniform, holding the same powers and responsibilities as paid police officers.Training and Development

14-week training courseOne evening session per weekAlternate weekend sessions (Saturday and Sunday)The course covers policing powers and conflict resolution. Upon completion, you will be expected to volunteer a minimum of 16 hours per month to maintain operational competence. As you gain experience, opportunities may include additional skills such as UAV (drones), roads policing and public order.This is a long-term volunteer role; please consider the time and dedication required before applying.Skills and Experience
