Sous Chef

Remedicare Staffing are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef to join the catering team at a modern, purpose-built elderly Care Home in the Harrogate area. The core responsibilities will be to deliver high quality, fresh, home cooked meals for the residents, working in an extremely rewarding setting. Vacancy Reference: PK70444 (Care Home Sous Chef) 16.00 per hour 7:30am-5:30pm shifts 40 hours per week This is a full time, permanent Sous Chef role within an established company paying a fantastic 16.00 per hour! This is working 40 hours per week (7:30am-5:30pm shifts) and you will have the support of at least 1 Kitchen Assistant or Chef on each shift. This role is working in a modern, purpose-built bedded Elderly Home that is a part of an award-winning company that has a strong history of supporting and developing their staff. Sous Chef candidates will ideally have a valid Food Hygiene Certificate and previous experience of working in a Care Home, School or similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential. A good understanding of Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines is required within the Chef role. Qualifications within catering and hospitality such as City and Guilds 706/1+2, Professional Cookery or Catering would be looked upon favourably but are not essential.
