Sous ChefAnnual Salary: £29,500 - £33,500 p/aLocation: Tenby SA70Job Type: Full-time, PermanentWe are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team at our family-run hotel. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in high-volume kitchens, ideally within a hotel or similar environment. This role is crucial for supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, and contributing to menu development.Day-to-day of the role:Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.Help manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks to ensure efficient service delivery.Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.Participate in the creation and adjustment of menu items to enhance dining experience while managing cost.Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen and act as the Head Chef''s second-in-command.Required Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and motivating kitchen staff.Excellent cooking skills with the ability to execute high-quality dishes.Familiarity with inventory management and recipe costing.Professional communication and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and solve problems ..... full job details .....
