Sous Chef - Job DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations. The Sous Chef will help oversee food preparation, maintain quality standards, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure a clean and efficient working environment. This role requires strong leadership, culinary expertise, and the ability to perform well under pressure.Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and train kitchen staff- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation- Oversee food preparation and cooking techniques- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies- Control food costs and minimize waste- Step in as acting Head Chef when required- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations- Help develop new menu items and seasonal specials- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operationsRequired Skills and Qualifications- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment- Leadership and team management skills- Excellent time management and organizational abilities- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment- Understanding of food safety regulations- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysPreferred Qualities- Creative and passionate about food- Strong communication skills- Problem-solving abilities- ..... full job details .....
