Sous Chef Position Overview We are looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen brigade. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help oversee daily kitchen activities, coordinate the team, and ensure consistently excellent food and service standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate culinary professional with strong leadership abilities and extensive kitchen experience. The successful candidate will take an active role in food preparation and production, uphold rigorous hygiene and safety standards, and help create an efficient, positive, and high-performing kitchen environment. Key Duties Assist the Head Chef with the preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes to the required standards. Take responsibility for supervising the kitchen team during service, maintaining smooth operations and effective communication. Monitor food preparation and production to ensure every dish is delivered with consistent quality and presentation. Help coach, train, and develop less experienced members of the kitchen team. Monitor stock levels, coordinate ingredient orders, and ensure food is stored correctly to maintain freshness and reduce unnecessary waste. Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy, and well organised in line with food hygiene and safety requirements. Work closely with the front-of-house team to maintain an efficient and coordinated service.
