Sous ChefWe currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join our busy hotel kitchen team.This is a varied and hands-on role within a fast-paced hotel environment, catering for hotel residents, restaurant guests, weddings, conferences, functions and special events.Working closely with the Head Chef, the successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and service. Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef with the day-to-day management and organisation of the kitchen. Lead and support the kitchen team during busy services. Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard. Ensure dishes are presented correctly and delivered efficiently during service. Maintain high standards of food quality, portion control and presentation. Assist with the preparation and delivery of food for restaurant service, weddings, conferences and functions. Ensure all food hygiene, health and safety procedures are followed at all times. Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly. Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic working environment. Assist with stock control and ensure food waste is kept to a minimum. Support the cleaning and organisation of the kitchen, storage areas and equipment.
