We''re working with an established independent hospitality business in the Wokingham area who are looking for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join their kitchen team. This is a great opportunity to take on real responsibility within a quality, fresh-food environment, supporting the Head Chef in leading the kitchen while continuing to develop your own management and culinary experience. The role Working closely with the Head Chef, you''ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and help maintain consistently high standards throughout preparation and service. You''ll also have the opportunity to lead the team in the Head Chef''s absence and support the development of other chefs within the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen Leading the kitchen confidently when required Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard Maintaining quality and presentation throughout service Supervising and supporting junior members of the kitchen team Assisting with stock control, ordering and minimising waste Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards Helping ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods Working closely with the wider kitchen ..... full job details .....
