Sourcing Specialist

Consortium Professional Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier of goods to customers across the UK and worldwide, who are experiencing rapid growth and looking for a motivated Sourcing Specialist to join their expanding team.

The Role
Working closely with the Procurement Manager and the NPD team, you will play a key role in the sourcing of goods and materials for new product introductions. This is a hands-on position offering a varied workload and the chance to work with suppliers and colleagues across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing of goods, materials, and services in line with company requirements.
• Working cross-functionally with NPD team, production, logistics, and quality teams.
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes, track orders, and resolve delivery issues.
• Leading negotiations to secure the best value, quality, and lead times.
• Maintaining accurate purchasing records and supplier information.
• Raising purchase orders and ensuring accurate data entry into the ERP system.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

• Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel in particular); ERP/MRP experience would be advantageous.
• Experience in sourcing raw materials and onboarding new suppliers
• Eager to learn and develop within a growing business.
