Sourcing Manager

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Staffordshire based client to recruit for a Sourcing Manager. The role:This role will focus on negotiation, relationship building and the sourcing of new suppliers, you will be charged with seeking out and negotiating commercial and contract terms with new suppliers alongside managing the relationships with current suppliers. Key responsibilities:Identify and evaluate new suppliers based in both the UK and internationallyBuild long term supplier relationships to drive home commercial advantageLead all negotiations across, pricing, lead times, and payment termsDefine, monitor, and improve supplier KPISManage supplier contracts including ensuring they are commercially soundWork closely with colleague across Procurement, Finance and Operations teams Skills and Experience required:An experienced negotiatorHave a commercial mindsetComfortable meeting supplier face to faceProactive and driven, someone who wants to succeedExperience within a manufacturing environment, candidates who have experience in the sourcing of metals would be particularly attractive.
