Sourcing and Procurement Consultant - Defence

Our Sourcing, IT Strategy and Corporate Services capability are looking for a Sourcing and Procurement Consultant - Defence. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most significant and complex sourcing challenges facing public and private sector organisations in the UK and internationally, provide strategic advice from transforming organisations'' sourcing teams to delivering complex multi-billion-pound procurements, and advise clients on how to embrace technology to accelerate sourcing processes and harness data. You will support your clients to achieve their desired business outcomes by applying deep technical knowledge and innovative approaches to sourcing and procurement.Responsibilities

Work on significant and complex sourcing challenges for public and private sector organisations in the UK and internationally.Provide strategic advice on transforming organisations'' sourcing teams, delivering complex multi-billion-pound procurements, and leveraging technology to accelerate sourcing processes and harness data.Support clients to achieve desired business outcomes through deep technical knowledge and innovative sourcing approaches.Lead and support change or transformation initiatives in multifaceted stakeholder environments.Deliver procurement/commercial and strategic sourcing projects from buyer and/or supplier perspectives with strong delivery experience.Navigate complex procurement processes within the Defence sector to deliver value for money outcomes.Manage supplier service delivery arrangements or improve supplier and sourcing relationships.Think creatively and commercially to solve complex procurement and sourcing challenges; demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.Show a strong self-starter mindset and excellent communication skills.Qualifications: CIPS, MCIPS, IACCM or equivalent sourcing qualifications are preferable; prior consulting experience in a sourcing context is preferable.Qualifications

Experience in strategic sourcing and/or procurement.Evidence of leading and supporting change or transformation initiatives in multifaceted stakeholder environments.Strong delivery experience from working on procurement, commercial and strategic sourcing projects from buyer and/or supplier perspectives.Expertise in navigating complex procurement processes within the Defence sector to deliver value for money outcomes.A proven ability to think creatively and commercially to solve complex procurement and sourcing challenges.Excellent interpersonal and team working skills with exceptional stakeholder management.Strong self-starter and growth mindset with excellent communication skills.CIPS, MCIPS, IACCM or equivalent sourcing qualifications are preferable.Location and Working Arrangements

Location - London or Bristol. Hybrid working policy: the expectation is to work from a PA office and/or client location 2/3 x per week based on a 5-day working week; actual time spent and location may vary by role or assignment, including up to 5 days per week on a client site.
